About Language Trainers

Language Trainers provides individually-tailored language training on a one-on-one or small group basis to busy people who need language skills for business, family and travel needs.

Company History

Alexis Sheldon, CEO of Language Trainers, founded the company in 2004 after 7 years in English language teaching and 5 years in sales, marketing and administration of language courses for businesses and individuals.

Alexis saw that although most other language training companies were focusing on teaching just one language in just one location, his idea for Language Trainers was to provide private one-to-one and group tuition for any language in any location using a worldwide network of professional trainers and a round-the-clock academic and administrative team to match the trainers with the students.

By 2005 Language Trainers had already taught over 500 clients in 13 languages in 15 cities, primarily in the UK and Ireland. In 2006, Language Trainers USA was launched and in just over a year, more than 1000 clients have been trained in 17 languages in more than 75 cities.

The courses are spread in 100 cities in 10 different countries. Language Trainers also offers online language tutoring for learners all over the world, as well as evening language courses in Brighton&Hove and New York City.

Head Office

Language Trainers has a worldwide network of qualified and experienced native speaker language teachers, from London to Lima. Our Head Office in Brighton&Hove, England coordinates the administration and course development, matching teachers with learners and providing academic support.

Language Trainers also has offices in New Jersey (USA), Sydney (Australia), Frankfurt (Germany) and São Paulo (Brazil).

Directors

The directors of Language Trainers have worked at all levels in the language industry, from thousands of hours teaching to running schools. They are also dedicated language enthusiasts, speaking many languages between them.

Trainers

All of our experienced trainers are native speakers (or have native speaker level) and have appropriate teaching qualifications. They are also be locally based to reduce travel time and expense.

All language courses in other countries are run by Language Trainers (part of Brighton Early Ltd, registered in England and Wales as Company No. 4900290), based at 65-67 Western Road, Intergen House, Palmeira Square, Hove, BN3 2JQ, England.
